According to Liseykina, Kostroma is convenient to travel by car because the journey from Moscow to this city will take only five hours.
“Kostroma is a picturesque town on the banks of the Volga, where you will briefly go back in time and feel the atmosphere of merchant and county towns of the 18th century,” the blogger said.
He recommended visiting the cheese exchange in Kostroma, visiting the nearby deer farm and spending time in a wooden tower in Astashovo.
Liseykina added that by car you can get to Kazan relatively quickly, by highway in 6.5 hours.
“Kazan means walking in a beautiful city, the picturesque Volga and ancient Bolgar with its historical excavations,” he said.
He advised those who are not yet tired of the cold to go to the Murmansk region, which can be reached in 2.5 hours by plane.
“Now this region is actively developing, so there are excellent hotels, restaurants serving Arctic cuisine, you can organize a snowmobile trip in the mountains and, if you are lucky, if you get to the shores of Teriberka, you can meet whales. While wandering around Murmansk, you should definitely ride the Lenin icebreaker, try sea urchins and reindeer moss chips, go up to the Barents Sea coast in Teriberka, climb the snow-covered peaks of Volosyanaya Sopka and see the northern lights,” said Liseikina.
Among the interesting regions to which you can quickly fly from Moscow, he also named the Perm Territory and the Kaliningrad Region.
