Stylist and image maker Maria Kulikova told socialbites.ca about the anti-fashion trends of 2024.

According to Maria Kulikova, one of the main anti-trends of 2024 will be synthetics.

“Synthetic materials are the source of environmental pollution. I recommend you to choose natural materials such as cotton, linen, silk and wool in the new year. Designers will use them to create clothes, shoes and accessories. “Not only are they pleasant to the touch, they are also environmentally friendly, which is increasingly important for consumers and the ESG agenda,” he said.

The stylist also suggested avoiding complex prints and designs.

“Designers will create clothes with simple and minimalist details that make them more functional. Therefore, simple shapes and concise style will be the focus,” he explained.

Heavy, floor-length down jackets are another anti-trend.

“Fashion will reach a new technological level that will make life easier and ensure that we do not get tired while being wrapped from head to toe. At the same time, lightweight models will be no less warm,” noted Maria Kulikova.

The expert recommended avoiding overly bright colors.

“Fashion will turn towards natural colors. “Beige, grey, brown and green will be popular,” he said.

Maria Kulikova concluded that the main factors when choosing clothes next year will not be fashion, but comfort and convenience.

“The clothes will be designed with consumer needs in mind and will combine style and practicality,” he said.
