Plastic surgery is especially popular among Russian women over 25 years old, and the proportion of those who are ready to decide on radical changes in appearance is high. socialbites.ca was told about this by the press service of the analytical center A2: Research and the distributor of color lenses Belure Vision.
Experts note that representatives of generations manage their appearance differently.
“A quarter of the surveyed “buzzers” (18-24 years old) prefer to transform themselves with the help of cosmetics, while “millennials” (25-35 years old) and “Xers” (35-46 years old) more often see experts, 19% of cases respectively and 26% said they had resorted to cosmetic procedures.
They also said buzzers were twice as likely to be satisfied with their appearance as older generations.
“One in five surveyed women over 36 years of age gives their appearance only a score of 4 out of 10. Among the total number of survey respondents, only 15% of Russian women are satisfied with their appearance,” analysts said.
It is noted that girls are often prevented from deciding to experiment with their appearance by the fear of harming their health and the risk of not achieving the expected result.
“Almost half of Russian women do not find their eye color interesting or memorable. “At the same time, one in five people are not ready for a radical change and only want to improve their natural eye color,” he said.
They also said that the most desired eye color by representatives of all ages is blue. Green and brown were also in the top 3.
“36% of girls surveyed are ready to experiment with their appearance and eye color, primarily due to their need to express themselves. The top 3 reasons for experimenting with appearance also included the desire to emphasize one’s uniqueness and attract the attention of others.”
