Olivier Rousteing, creative director of French fashion house Balmain, said on his personal blog that thieves stole pieces from the new collection, which is planned to be exhibited in Paris at the end of September.

Olivier Rousteing said pirates stole a truck transporting items from the new Balmain collection from the airport to the house’s headquarters in Paris. He announced that the incident occurred on Saturday, September 16. According to him, the car contained approximately fifty items from the house’s collection.

“I arrived at the office at 9am and waited for items to arrive for our September Balmain show. “My team and I were preparing visuals for the show when the driver called and said that he had been robbed by a group of people,” Olivier Rousteing wrote.

The Balmain house’s creative director added that his team now needs to quickly restore items from the collection so they can show them at the show at the end of September.

“This is extremely unfair and disrespectful. We have worked hard. But we and our suppliers will work day and night. I shared this with you to say take care and be safe. This is the world we live in,” Rousteing concluded.
