“Users have become almost 3 times more interested in Russian clothing and footwear brands. At the same time, according to our survey, one out of every five users started looking for alternatives to foreign brands. Thus, these brands that are currently active in the network will potentially be preferred in the future, ”says Anastasia Lipatova, business partner of the fashion industry at Yandex.
Russian brands are also “strengthening their digital presence,” according to the company. Thus, in August 2022, the number of small clothing stores advertising on Yandex Business increased by 1.5 times compared to the same period of the previous year.
“The total amount of investments made by apparel and footwear sellers and manufacturers to advertise on Search and the Ad Network increased by 27%,” the company said.
