According to director Jake Schreier, such a turn was originally registered in the concept scenario and the Asterisk hinted through to the public in a temporary name. And although the plot has undergone serious changes during production, this detail remained unchanged:

And in the credits and both scenes after the credits, we immediately say: yes, maybe this is not the most handy and natural transition, but to observe how everything will develop further, will be exciting.
By the way, the rename went beyond the boundaries of the “Thunderians*”/ “New Avengers”. The network noted that the film bill boards began to be updated, so that the previous title was changed to a new one.
In the meantime, the money costs of the “Thunderians*” $ 162 million approached, which is less than the “Captain of America: A Wonderful New World” for the same period.
