“The modular kitchen has many advantages: firstly, it is much cheaper than a custom-made kitchen, secondly, you do not need to waste time and wait for ready-made furniture to arrive, and thirdly, you can design it yourself, choosing the desired content and design,” the expert began.
Talking about the advantages of the modular kitchen, Kosareva also said that you can assemble it yourself without waiting for the help of professionals.
Another plus, according to the designer, is the ability to purchase additional modules at any time and change their location if necessary.
When choosing a modular kitchen, Kosareva urged to pay attention to the combination of its style and color scheme with the overall interior design. The next step, the designer recommends, is to draw up a plan taking into account the size of the kitchen and the location of work areas (sink, stove, refrigerator).
After that, Kosareva recommended choosing material for the body and facades of the modules: chipboard, MDF or others. The expert noted that in addition to paying attention to the quality of fittings and drawer pulls, additional functions and accessories should also be taken into account.
According to the designer, to save money on buying a modular kitchen, you can abandon the upper cabinets without losing functionality.
“When designing a kitchen, we often overlook vertical space, which can be filled with open shelves and baskets for storing food, spices, dishes or simply decorated with accessories that will give originality to the interior,” said Kosareva.
