The illustration was first sold at auction in 2001 for £85 thousand (about $108 thousand). According to the auction organizers, it was expected to find a buyer for 400-600 thousand dollars in 2024. However, after a 10-minute auction, the illustration sold for a record price, making it the most expensive item ever sold in the series. The name and surname of the new owner of the painting were not disclosed.
