In the fourth season of The Boys, one of the supers returns – Toy Soldier performed by Jensen Ackles. That is what the showrunner of the project Eric Kripke (Eric Kripke) says.
According to him, he follows the principle that it is not worth killing one of the characters if it is not necessary. So there is a chance that the first super will return. Kripke also stated that he couldn’t imagine the series finale without the return of Toy Soldier.
At the same time, Ackles herself has not yet confirmed a return to the role. In addition, the source says that Black Noir will reappear in the series, but that the costume and mask will be worn by a different person. As for the fourth season as a whole, filming will begin in August this year and the premiere is apparently not expected until 2023.
