Moscow Interior and Design Week ended in the capital and became a platform for the exchange of experience between Russian manufacturers and international experts. 12 cooperation agreements worth more than 13.8 billion rubles were signed at the exhibition. This year, 42 buyers from 6 countries participated in the event: Egypt, Algeria, Morocco, Saudi Arabia, India and Turkey.
The main event of the business program was the B2B session “Unlocking Opportunities: Examining the demand for furniture and interior items in India”, where experts discussed business models and strategies to enter international markets. The event brought together designers, buyers, independent industry experts and more than 50 local companies.
In addition, Hüseyin Bakri, the chief architect of Akon City, which designed the city of the future in the image of Wakanda in Senegal, spoke at Moscow Interior and Design Week. Guests included Kavita Chaudary, a top 25 designer according to Do-school, who spoke about designing interiors for the stars and attending Dubai Design Week. Experts from the USA and the UAE also spoke at the fair.
Master classes from industry professionals and an extensive demonstration were held at Moscow Interior and Design Week. Guests had the opportunity to test materials for durability in the crash test area, dance at a Sergei Lazarev concert and participate in a raffle for repair certificates. In addition, visitors were able to purchase their favorite furniture and decor at the exhibitor stands and in the showroom of the “Made in Moscow” project.
