A movie about nuns and children. While it can be burdensome at this point, it’s a combination that always works for some reason. Of course, we are in a good social cinema zone, which brings up the issues with a bit of comedy and sweetness so everything hurts a little less so we can have fun and have a good time. The plot isn’t all that new either, see ‘Children of the Choir’, a movie that was shot mercilessly, in this case an exchange of music and songs for football.
But as we said, the combination works if it’s well organized, has a directed director and a good cast behind it. In this case, the directed director is Roberto Bueso, who has shown freshness and sincerity with his first film, ‘La banda’. Good acting cast if directed by Carmen Machi, little can be added, for he is one of the few artists who can turn everything he touches into gold. There is no movie that fails to elevate Machi by its mere presence.
nostalgic element
Add the nostalgic element of the 90spop songs (although unrelated) and based on a true story, the story of actress Valdo Lopes and her sister Marina, who encouraged her to go professional, and we already have all the ingredients to make a movie. with fair doses of overcoming spirit, good will and some hope in human beings, which is what we sorely need given the circumstances.
