“James Nachtwey asked me if I had any rituals to prepare for a role. I said no, but I explained that every morning when I woke up, I stood under cold water. We were outside by a stream and we looked at each other and thought, “Okay, let’s try it.” It was much colder than I was used to and unfortunately I had no towel or spare clothes. But we had a lot of laughs,” Cooper said.
