Rapper Cardi B announced her divorce from rapper Offset after six years of marriage. She made the statement live on Instagram (its owner, Meta, is known as an extremist and has been banned in Russia).
The previous day, speculation of separation arose because the couple stopped following each other on social networks. A few days later, Cardi B went on air and confirmed the subscribers’ rumors.
“I don’t know if you took your cue from my life or from the stories I experienced while playing certain music. I had been alone for a minute, but I was afraid… I wasn’t afraid, but I didn’t know how to tell the world. But today I feel like it’s a sign. “The last time I was on air I wanted to tell you but I didn’t know how to say it so I changed my mind,” the rapper admitted.
Cardi and Offset got married secretly on September 20, 2017. They had a daughter, Kalche Kiara, in 2019, and a son, Wave, was born in the fall of 2021.
