The screenwriter of the upcoming action movie “Mortal Kombat 2” Jeremy Slater (Jeremy Slater) gave a short interview where he talked about working on the film. Unfortunately, he has not revealed the details of the storyline.
So far it is very nice. We are about halfway through writing the script. I’m working very closely with the director, the studio and the game boys, and I think… I can’t say anything about the story, but I think they certainly learned some lessons: “This is what the fans reacted to , that’s what people loved film, but this is what didn’t work the way we hoped.” So we really see this as an opportunity to take everything that worked in the first part and make it even better, and also give audiences even more of what they want, making the movie incredibly fun, exciting and unpredictable.

In an interview, Jeremy Slater made it clear that the film will not be comparable to the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
I don’t think it will have the same tone as the Marvel Cinematic Universe. This is Mortal Kombat. All these teary faces and fire-breathing is a strange universe, let’s accept this and make the Mortal Kombat sequel unpredictable, capable of hitting anyone on the spot. Everything is going on and I am enjoying this scenario.
