AMD vs NVIDIA – the new RX 7900 XTX has already been compared to the top RTX 4090 in games and showed where there is more FPS

After the announcement of the flagship video card Radeon RX 7900 XTX, they decided to compare the new product in terms of FPS in games with its direct competitor NVIDIA RTX 4090. For comparison, the author of the video used the information on the AMD presentation on the performance of the GPU.

“In this video I present to you a test of RTX 4090 versus RX 7900 XTX. All average FPS figures for the RX 7900 XTX are based on AMD’s presentation showing 1.7 times the performance of the previous flagship RX 6950 XT. To be more sure, I took the smallest value of the multiplier shown, equal to 1.5″— said the author of the video.

Judging by the video, the NVIDIA RTX 4090 shows more FPS in most games than the Radeon RX 7900 XTX.

• Dying Light 2 – NVIDIA RTX 4090 – 99 FPS and Radeon RX 7900 XTX – 87 FPS;
• Forza Horizon 5 – NVIDIA RTX 4090 – 167 FPS and Radeon RX 7900 XTX – 159 FPS;
• God of War – NVIDIA RTX 4090 – 127 FPS and Radeon RX 7900 XTX – 120 FPS;
• Hitman 3 – NVIDIA RTX 4090 – 165 FPS and Radeon RX 7900 XTX – 168 FPS;
• Horizon Zero Dawn: Complete Edition – NVIDIA RTX 4090 – 139 FPS and Radeon RX 7900 XTX – 125 FPS;

Of course, a more detailed comparison of the two video cards will come closer to the Radeon RX 7900 XTX sales start date, which is slated for December 13 this year. The price of the video card will be $ 999 (in the Russian Federation it will probably be higher). In comparison, NVIDIA’s recommended cost is $1599.

Recall that during the presentation AMD also announced the Radeon RX 7900 XT video card and showed new technologies to increase the speed in games.
