Former soloist of the Reflex group, Zhenya Malakhova, recently shared that she managed to return to a normal weight within days after giving birth by staying mindful of her nutrition every single day. She spoke about this to kp.ru, offering a candid glimpse into how she balanced a new mom’s routine with her health goals.
During her pregnancy, Malakhova gained 11 kilograms. Despite approaching the end of her pregnancy with an active lifestyle, she managed to keep moving and stay engaged in physical activity well into the final weeks, which she believes helped shape her postpartum recovery.
In her own words, the singer explained that pregnancy imposes substantial demands on the mother’s body. She noted that the baby absorbs a lot of nutrients, a reality she experienced firsthand. Now as she continues to breastfeed, she admits that it has created its own set of challenges. Maintaining a diet free of certain favorites can be tough, as she has had to limit milk, flour, and foods she loves. Yet she suspects these adjustments may be a factor in how quickly she returned to a lean figure after giving birth.
Malakhova also mentioned that she allows herself some indulgences on occasion, including coffee, which she considers a reasonable exception rather than a complete restriction.
In July, Zhenya Malakhova announced the name of her daughter, Pavla. The newborn is her second child, with a son named Fedor already part of the family, born on February 15, 2022.
The singer is married to businessman Andrei Tarasov; the couple wed in August 2020. For a period she kept her husband’s identity private, but she later shared wedding photos on social media, revealing the person who stands beside her in life.
Earlier, Malakhova had given fans a glimpse of her figure six days after delivery, sparking discussion about postpartum changes and recovery.
