This body of work is described by Rodríguez as a project that continuously grows, sparked by a deep desire to capture humanity’s bond with Mother Earth. The photographs vividly portray the fiery Andes as the backbone of a continent, a line of volcanoes that sculpts both the terrain and the communities inhabiting it. The artist reflects on how easily a person can forget that the planet is fragile and always evolving, a place where traditions persist even as technologies advance, where people remember their roots and their responsibilities to each other and to nature. The images speak to a shared sense of belonging to a place that is at once matter and spirit, landscape and life.
