Vladimir Ilyin has shown encouraging progress in his battle with cancer, according to a report linked to Life. The 76-year-old actor, renowned for his work in films such as Burnt by the Sun and Accident – The Policeman’s Daughter, is currently receiving treatment for prostate cancer and undergoes regular radiation sessions at a radiology center near Moscow.
In remarks to the publication, Ilyin’s wife shared that the performer is in good spirits. He recently underwent a leg operation, is able to walk, and continues to participate in acting projects, including The Drummer’s Fate and Palma 2.
Vladimir Ilyin has long been honored as a People’s Artist of Russia. In 2017, he earned the BRICS Film Festival award and the Nika Award for Best Supporting Actor for his role in Time of the First.
