Villena’s City Council has unveiled the lineup for August, aiming to reclaim its status as the province’s premier summer festival hub in Alicante.
Villena will host the XXV edition of the Festival rock legends, continuing the much-anticipated August program that gathers Spain’s leading heavy acts. little lizard is a festival that celebrates a variety of musical styles to satisfy every taste.
Altogether, nearly 100 bands and artists come together in Villena over six days of festival activity. The program runs from August 3 to 6 with rock legends and continues with little lizard from August 11 to 13.
The mayor expressed strong support for this event, noting the tendency for visitors to travel throughout the holiday season. He emphasized its potential to become a key attraction for people of all ages to Villena, drawing visitors from the coast and beyond. He also highlighted the concerts’ ability to sustain local engagement across sectors such as commerce, accommodation, and hospitality, while also elevating Villena on the national festival map.
Gandía pointed to a signed agreement that will enable the next two editions to proceed with greater security and confidence for organizers.
The inaugural heavy-focused festival will feature Powerwolf, Speth, Kreator, Blind Guardian, Epica, Testament, Alestorm, Mago de Oz, The Darkness, Gotthard, Overkill, Jinjer, Stratovarius, Angelus Apatrida, Exodus, Ñu, Sweet, El Drogas, Obus, Saragoga, Rhapsody, Leo Jiménez, Saurom, Ensiferum, Adventus, Myrath, Wig Wam, Lord of the Lost, Butcher Babies, Feursxhwanz, Brothers of Metal, Mojinos Escozíos, Legion, El Reno Renardo, Lujuria, Porretas, Lepoka, Celtian, Landevir, and more.

The new edition of the Rabolagartija Festival marks a return to a cherished summer tradition, pairing artists like Rozalén, Los Chicos del Maíz, and La Pegatina with around 40 other acts. The city’s leadership spoke of a diverse line-up that embraces reggae, funk, hip-hop, rock, alternative rock, and rap, broadening the appeal for fans across genres.
