Valeria Chekalina, who goes by the pen name Lerchek, reportedly found a new source of income, as reported by kp.ru.
According to the piece, Chekalina’s earnings from her company Letik Makeup LLC were disclosed recently. The company reported a 2022 revenue of 172 million rubles and a net profit of 78 million. The article noted that the project’s financial performance rose by about 1.3 to 1.5 times compared with 2021.
It was also stated that Chekalina can transfer and withdraw these funds from company accounts without restriction.
On March 7, Lerchek and her husband, Artem, faced charges of tax evasion totaling 300 million rubles.
A second criminal case followed, with Chekalina accused of large-scale money laundering. Investigators allege that, in April 2021, Chekalina and her husband, along with their associates, laundered more than 130 million rubles obtained through the purchase of US currency for themselves. As a preventive measure, a court restricted Chekalina from using the Internet and from blogging.
