According to the channel’s press service, TNT will air the comedy Unreality on August 8. The film follows a TV show star as she navigates life outside the glare of the cameras, with Olga Dibtseva starring in the lead role.
For Dibtseva, unreal moments are not about age or documents but about growing up and gaining awareness of the world, including the people closest to her. She reflects that maturity came late, with a personal turning point after the age of 25 when she finally shouldered responsibility for her choices and actions.
The storyline centers on Rita Dibtseva, a heroine who spent a decade under the constant gaze of a reality TV set. After leaving the project, she returns to her hometown but finds little joy in reconnecting with relatives, an ex-lover, neighbors, and even her daughter. The film follows her struggle to rebuild authentic relationships and to shed the communication habits that television life conditioned her to rely on.
Earlier reports noted that Taika Waititi’s Real Ghouls is slated for a new release later this year, signaling a season rich with genre-blending titles for audiences seeking humor and fresh storytelling.
