Timati Named as Third Party in Multimillion Ruble Debt Case Involving Sovada and Black Star Group

The court named the rapper Timati as a third party in a case involving a debt collection surpassing 63 million rubles from businessman Rafael Sovada. The report appeared on a Telegram channel known as Zvezdach.

The published materials describe how businesswoman Galina Zherzdeva filed a lawsuit against Sovad for recovering funds under a share purchase agreement related to Black Star Foods LLC. She seeks 63 million rubles plus a fine totaling 339,800 rubles. A new court session is scheduled for December 20.

In 2022 it was reported that Timati sold his stake in the Black Star Burger venture. The buyer was Johann Rafael Sowada, a foreign businessman active in Russia.

According to KP.ru, Sowada imposed a condition that Timati refrain from publicly commenting on Timati’s departure from the business. In response, the contractor demanded immediate payment of a portion of the sum amounting to 63 million rubles.

Meanwhile, the businessman hesitated to pay the remaining balance, which led Timati to pursue court action. The court ruled that the businessman must pay the rapper the remaining 7 million rubles and also cover a daily penalty of 0.01 percent for each day of delay.

Earlier reports noted that Arkady Ukupnik’s accounts were frozen due to outstanding debts, highlighting ongoing fiscal pressure within the circle of public figures tied to these business ventures.
