The eleventh edition of the Magical Nights Festival wraps up this week with a curated sequence of fifteen performances, mostly musical, at Jardines de Abril in Sant Joan d’Alacant. The program features acclaimed acts such as Raphael, Faemino and Cansado, Miguel Campello, and the indie rock showcase Music in the Garden, which shines a spotlight on Kakkmadafakka, Dorian, Carlos Sadness, and Siloam. Ticket sales for the closing shows will peak as the festival finalizes its lineup for the last performances.
In recent days the festival has hosted events by Fangoria, Los Secretos, Goyo Jiménez, Siempre Así, and Ainhoa Arteta, with nearly every show selling out. Notably, Faemino y Cansado performed this Wednesday, August 9, a run that included 17 performances. Raphael will return to the Alicante stage on Thursday the 10th after a health-related pause in his tour. The Garden Festival continues its run on Friday the 11th and Saturday the 12th, with Miguel Campello presenting his day and night tour on Sunday the 13th.
An indie rock festival within the festival
Throughout the event, concerts bring together bands and artists from around the world who span indie, pop, and rock. The festival spotlights both national and international acts across more than eight hours of live music on each of the two main days. Beyond the stage, attendees can explore exhibitions, crafts, and a vibrant gastronomy scene that enriches the festival atmosphere.
Among the highlights, the Norwegian ensemble Kakkmaddafakka stands out, drawing special attention for their forthcoming album Revelation as part of a broad European tour scheduled to land in Alicante this Saturday. Dorian makes a return with new material that adds a cosmopolitan texture to contemporary pop and creates an energetic dialogue between European and American scenes, as reflected in the Barcelona music influence.
Carlos Sadness continues his Tropical Jesus tour, marking a milestone in his evolving career. The project has taken him to more than twenty cities across nine countries, gracing major venues and festivals nationwide, including the Wizink Center. His growing audience and streaming figures underscore the momentum behind his latest album and the vitality of his live performances.
Music in the Garden also shines a light on emerging acts such as Wide Angle and Dual Diagnosis, complemented by a lineup of DJs including Modafoka, Cristian Set Roc, Kokedama, Jes Set, Suzukid, Terreta Sound Machine, and Adriasolá. The festival emphasizes discovery and community, pairing established favorites with fresh talent to deliver a well-rounded musical experience for attendees.
The venue opens its doors at 20:00, inviting guests to savor a full evening of sound, color, and energy. For the latest information and ticket availability, the festival site remains the primary source for up-to-date details and any schedule adjustments. [Citation: Festival organizers]
