The Studio Showcases Original Projects at Vetoshny Hall
Earlier, Kinopoisk representatives informed socialbites.ca about the Studio’s presentation of its original projects at the Vetoshny Hall exhibition center.
Updates were provided on the film adaptation of Fyodor Dostoyevsky’s classic novel Crime and Punishment. Vladimir Mirzoev, known for The Swamp and Boris Godunov, directs the upcoming adaptation.
The leading roles are slated for Tikhon Zhiznevsky and Lyubov Aksenova, who attracted attention in Major Grom: Plague Doctor. The cast also includes Ivan Yankovsky, Vladimir Mishukov, Alena Mikhailova, Yulia Snigir, Nikita Tarasov, and Boris Khvoshnyansky, among others, who join Crime and Punishment.
Zhiznevsky and Yankovsky have previously collaborated on The Swamp and Union of Liberation, adding familiarity to the project’s ensemble.
Plus Studio announced a reboot of the Eterna saga, based on Vera Kamshi’s series of the same name. The 2024 release will feature an updated cast and is directed by Sergey Trofimov.
Cast members listed include Anton Rogachev, Ivan Trushin, Pavel Chinarev, Yuri Chursin, Anton Kuznetsov, Ksenia Traister, Alexey Lukin, Ilya Vinogorsky, Valentina Lyapina, Evgeny Stychkin, Ivan Dobronravov, Mikhail Troynik, Lyubov Konstantinova, Viktor Dobronravov, and Anton Adasinsky.
During the presentation, early footage from ongoing projects was shown, including Eterna, Olympic, and Crime and Punishment. A trailer accompanied the feature-length sequel to Trigger, featuring psychologist Artem Streletsky as a bartender.
Kinopoisk viewers can anticipate The Others, a film exploring an alternate Leningrad in the 1940s. In 2024, Evgeniy Stychkin’s drama Cicadas, the comedy Cyber Village, the Monster Detective movie, the animated project Explainers by Dmitry Syenduk and Egor Loskutov, the Cyberslav animated series, and Major Thunder: The Game are also planned for release.
Bubble Studios, known for Major Thunder: Plague Doctor, and Plus Studio will release the film adaptation of the comic Red Fury, titled Fury. The story follows the criminal Nika Chaikina, with Rustem Ilyasov directing and Daria Vereshchagina in the lead role.
Additionally, during the Plus Studio presentation, it was announced that the number of Yandex Plus subscribers had reached 25 million.
A previous sale noted included Tarzan artwork fetching one million rubles.
