Probably after a summer of the hottest concerts, the live music scene in Spain will not slow down as fall arrives. International names like Arcade Fire, The Cure, Bon Iver, and other national stars such as David Bisbal and Aitana are planned to light up stages across the country.
September brings a surge of activity even as the season cools. Scotland-born acts and Texas favorites are set to celebrate decades of work with performances at key venues: Granada’s 1001 Músicas (the third), Albacete Conference Center (the fourth), Valencia’s Palau de Les Arts (the sixth), Barcelona’s Razzmatazz (the seventh), Burgos’s Evolución Forum Auditorium (the eighth), and Madrid’s La Riviera (the ninth).
Nostalgia also plays a role with tours like Sum 41 partnered with Simple Plan on September 24 in Bilbao and September 27 in Madrid, while Counting Crows will perform September 26 at Razzmatazz in Barcelona, September 28 at La Riviera, and September 29 at Sala Santana in Bilbao.
Fans can expect the main events to feature the Canadian powerhouse Arcade Fire performing their sole Spain show on September 21 at Madrid’s Wizink Center, followed by Icelandic icons Sigur Rós on September 29 near the capital, and October 1 at Barcelona’s Sant Jordi Club.
Black Crowes and Franz Ferdinand will also appear, with American rock outfits scheduled for Barcelona on October 16 and Madrid on October 18. In late October, the British acts, celebrating two decades of success, will bring tours to Barcelona on the 25th and Madrid on the 26th, with Bilbao Arena hosting a date on the 27th.
Before them, another eagerly awaited run comes from the Backstreet Kids. The Wizink Center hosts the show on October 4, followed by a stop at Palau Sant Jordi two days later. Both venues will host Bon Iver on November 7 in Barcelona and November 9 in Madrid, while The Cure will play November 10 in Barcelona and November 11 in Madrid.
November brings indie energy with Alt-J and a one-off Lil Nas X show in Barcelona on the 14th, then at Wizink Center on the 15th and at Palau Sant Jordi on the 17th. Towards the end of the month, Bastille returns to Catalonia on the 29th and to Madrid on the 30th, with a date at the historic Madrid Sports Palace in between.
Meanwhile, several Spanish artists are set to fill calendars across the country. Mónica Naranjo, Vanesa Martín, Raphael, Antonio Orozco, Loquillo, La MODA, and Manolo García are among the many national acts touring. Some will offer unique events, such as David Bisbal’s commemorative show on November 22 at the Mediterranean Games Stadium in Almería, marking two decades in music.
Aitana’s September run stands out, with multiple sold-out shows. In Madrid and Seville venues alike, her September appearances at Palau Sant Jordi, Fuente de San Luis Pavilion, and the BEC in Bilbao are highly anticipated. Additional dates include Wizink Center on September 18 and 22, with tickets still available for La Cartuja Stadium in Seville on the 15th and Fuengirola in Malaga on the 16th.
The autumn tour will also feature Rigoberta Bandini announcing a closing run later in the year, departing from Alicante on October 11 and wrapping up in Zaragoza on December 23 with two large-capacity concerts that have already sold out: October 14 at Wizink Center and November 24 at Palau Sant Jordi.
Izal has also signaled a pause, postponing plans after a string of large-venue performances. The band will take its act to Mérida’s Roman Theater on September 3, the Murcia Bullring on the 29th, Palau Sant Jordi on October 8, and a two-night engagement at the Wizink Center on October 28 and 29.
In the realm of emotional finales, Joan Manuel Serrat is expected to bid farewell to certain stages during the fall. His touring schedule will see performances at La Maestranza in Seville on the 7th and 8th of September, Axerquía Theater in Córdoba on the 25th, Kursaal in San Sebastián on October 8 and 9, and Príncipe Felipe Pavilion in Zaragoza on October 12 and 13, closing chapters on a storied career for many fans.
As December approaches, Madrid will host three more dates. The calendar will close with Serrat’s final shows in the city at the end of the year, with tickets already sold out for the final nights at Palau Sant Jordi, and Barcelona receiving two additional performances toward the closing stretch of the year.
Across the concert season, audiences can expect a mix of international headliners and beloved local acts, all weaving a dense tapestry of live music across Spain. The touring schedule reflects a strong appetite for diverse genres—from indie and rock to pop and folk—ensuring that fans in both Canada and the United States can easily follow where and when these artists will perform near them, and how the season’s notable cancellations and sellouts shape the narrative of 2025’s live music landscape. This ongoing activity demonstrates the global appeal of these artists and the enduring power of live performances to connect communities across borders, cities, and cultures.
