Sois Music Culture Awards brighten the ADDA stage once more with a blend of talent and artistry as the second edition launches. The premiere is scheduled for next Thursday, January 18, at 19.00, inviting audiences to a night where composition, performance, and cultural dedication converge in Alicante.
The Alicante Provincial Council and the ADDA Foundation pay tribute to the province’s great composers. Óscar Esplá, Jesús Mula, Amando Blanquer, and Rodríguez Albert are honored for their enduring impact on musical life, recognizing organizations and professionals whose work promotes the province’s rich musical culture.
Four categories were established to celebrate diverse contributions:
- Óscar Esplá Special Award for a Distinguished Music Career
- Rodríguez Albert Award for Dissemination, Promotion, and Preservation of Alicante’s Musical Heritage
- Jesús Mula Award for a Social Pedagogical Approach to Music Education
- Amando Blanquer Award for Innovation, Creation, and Originality in Music
Jury
The jury comprises Francisco Mestre Mollá, head of artistic production at ADDA and Alicante Provincial Council Auditorium; Jaume Gavilán Agulló, ADDA Artistic Content representative; Vicente Ballester Pons, international guitar soloist; and Jesús María Gómez Rodríguez, piano professor and deputy director of the Óscar Esplá Superior Conservatory of Music in Alicante. These professionals bring a wealth of experience and expertise from the field of music to the selection process.
Beyond the award ceremony, ADDA Simfònica will guide attendees through a tour of Alicante’s musical culture. The program features Mozart’s Overture from The Marriage of Figaro, Elgar’s Salut d’amour, Béla Bartók’s Romanian Folk Dances, and Ennio Morricone’s Gabriel’s Oboe, offering a diverse voyage through classical and contemporary expressions.
