In a candid conversation, Sergei Lazarev spoke about maintaining his health through regular physical activity. He emphasized that staying active is a daily priority, not a luxury, and that fitness helps him manage the demands of a busy life on stage and in front of cameras. Lazarev currently makes time for the gym twice each week, balancing rehearsals, tours, and television shoots with a commitment to his personal wellness. He notes that a packed schedule naturally limits visits to the gym, but consistency remains important. In addition, spending more time with his children has become a meaningful factor in keeping his routines practical and sustainable. He also practices mindful eating, choosing portions and foods that support his energy levels and overall fitness goals.
Beyond his own routines, Lazarev strives to model a healthy lifestyle for his children, Nikita and Anna. He believes that leading by example is the most effective way to instill lasting habits. The family’s daily life includes activities that promote physical fitness, and the children are encouraged to stay active through play and simple workouts at home. The father and son often do squats together and work on core strength, while Anna joins in the light exercises and playful movements that keep everyone moving. This shared approach reinforces the idea that health is a family value, not a solitary pursuit.
“Our children are a reflection of us”, Lazarev explained. “They imitate what they see, so it matters what we choose to do. If you want a child to avoid smoking in the future, set a clear example and avoid smoking in front of them. If you hope your kids will begin their day with activity, start the routine together. Children emulate the behaviors they observe and learn to become more mature by watching us.”
Sergei Lazarev became a father in 2014, welcoming Nikita through surrogacy. In 2018, his daughter Anna joined the family, also born with the help of the same surrogate mother who assisted with Nikita. The artist has spoken about his hopes and boundaries regarding his children pursuing creative careers, indicating that he does not want an artistic path forced upon them, preferring to support whatever their interests may be as they grow. This perspective underscores a broader commitment to balanced family life, where personal choices and parental guidance shape the next generation without undue pressure.
