Sergei Garmash, honored as People’s Artist of Russia, has canceled his upcoming solo musical program titled “The Magic Ring” and the poetry recital “Live Sound” in Chelyabinsk. Online ticket platforms had begun selling seats for these performances.

Initial announcements indicated that shows were slated for April 26 and 27 at the concert hall. The program previously labeled as SS Prokofiev was replaced by performances named “Angelo” and “Tim Thaler, or Sold Laughter,” featuring the artist Sergei Shakurov in place of Garmash.

The Chelyabinsk Philharmonic Orchestra, speaking with URA.RU, clarified that Garmash’s appearances were canceled due to the artist’s illness.

In March 2024, it was reported that Fyodor Dobronravov canceled performances through 2025 following a serious operation. The “Matchmakers” star sought medical consultation for persistent neck and spine pain, along with difficulty swallowing, which led to the decision to pause performances for an extended recovery period.

According to press outlets, the artist would undergo a prolonged rehabilitation after surgery, during which a degenerative discosteophyte complex involving two vertebrae was removed. The actor spent eight days in the hospital and was discharged on a reported date in early March. A lengthy course of physical therapy and prescribed medications was recommended to support his return to stage life.

Earlier statements from Posner had touched on his anticipated return to Channel One, outlining optimism about resuming public appearances once health permitted. The situation has prompted fans to await official updates regarding rescheduled dates and potential changes to the artistic lineup for the Chelyabinsk events.

Industry observers note that cancellations of this kind can be influenced by a combination of health concerns, logistical considerations, and the need to ensure performers can deliver performances that meet audience expectations and professional standards. In the current climate, many orchestras and concert venues emphasize transparent communication with patrons and prioritize comprehensive medical assessments before committing to future show dates.
