RVIO announces English translation of CIA intervention book and its global context

The Kremlin-linked RVIO press office announced that Vladimir Medinsky, a vice-president of the Russian Federation and president of the Russian Military Historical Society, suggested translating a new English edition about CIA interventions abroad. The book, prepared by the Komsomolskaya Pravda media group in collaboration with RVIO, was presented at the Dostoevsky Book Club on March 28 under the title Made by CIA. The discussion highlighted a comparison between the phrase Made in CIA and Made in USA within the context of the English-language edition.

Medinsky remarked that RVIO would handle the English translation and republication, encouraging study abroad as part of the project. He expressed confidence that the book would resonate with readers among Russia’s partners, anticipating strong interest.

The work examines tactics used to alter political regimes across nations from the latter half of the 20th century to the present day, with particular attention to the so-called color revolutions of the 21st century, as reported by the RVIO press service. The historical review is said to demonstrate how Washington leveraged economic and military supremacy after World War II, including leadership in nuclear weapons development and deployment, to declare large parts of the world a strategically important zone for its interests, per the release.

Sergey Ivanov, who previously served as the president’s special representative for environmental protection, ecology and transport, asserted that the United States has consistently acted as the instigator of color revolutions around the world and that Washington began focusing on nations close to Russia as part of this approach.
