The international project Russian Seasons is set to debut in Oman in 2025. This was announced by Olga Lyubimova, the Minister of Culture of the Russian Federation, after a meeting with Said bin Sultan al-Busaidi, Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Youth of Oman. The information appeared on Lyubimova’s Telegram channel.

A series of cultural events will mark the 40th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Russia and Oman. The program aims to celebrate long-standing ties through a diverse mix of art and education, bringing Russian culture to audiences in Oman and strengthening people-to-people connections between the two nations.

Lyubimova emphasized that Russian artists are warmly received in Oman. The planned activities include visits to renowned theaters, exhibitions from leading museums, educational programs, master classes, and a dedicated children’s program. These initiatives are designed to engage audiences across age groups and create lasting cultural exchanges that resonate both locally and internationally.

Part of the discussions also focused on collaboration in the library sector. The plan includes book exchanges, roundtable discussions, and cultural events aimed at younger audiences. Additionally, Russia agreed to assist Oman in the restoration of book monuments, preserving the country’s literary heritage for future generations.

Both sides extended invitations for leadership and youth participation in upcoming cultural forums. Oman’s Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Youth was invited to attend the United Cultures Forum, while Oman’s youth representatives were invited to participate in the third Children’s Cultural Forum. These engagements are expected to expand dialogue and create opportunities for ongoing collaboration in the arts and education sectors. (Source: Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation)
