A famous Russian actor, Pavel Barshak, was hospitalized after sustaining a puncture wound to the chest and multiple broken ribs, according to a Telegram channel referenced as plinth. The 42-year-old performer was transported to a Moscow hospital earlier today.
Reporters from the channel describe the injury as resulting from a confrontation with a man who gained entry to Barshak’s girlfriend’s residence through a window. The incident unfolded in the early hours of the night on Nagornaya Street.
Barshak was visiting his girlfriend, identified as Nastya, who is 32 years old. Roughly around four in the morning, an acquaintance of Nastya, a 25-year-old named Alexander Tabakov, allegedly climbed into the apartment via the balcony window. A physical dispute ensued between Tabakov and Barshak. After the altercation, Tabakov reportedly exited through the same balcony window. Initial information indicated that no serious injuries occurred at that moment.
Hours later, Barshak chose to seek medical care, and he was taken to a hospital where doctors diagnosed a closed chest injury and multiple rib fractures. He is currently receiving treatment in the hospital’s surgery department, where his condition is being monitored as doctors assess recovery options.
Barshak is best known for his work in the film Walk, directed by Alexei Uchitel, which helped establish him as a prominent figure in Russian cinema. Beyond Walk, he has appeared in a range of films and television programs, including Election Day 2, Peter FM, Yolki 2, and Kamenskaya, contributing to a varied and enduring body of screen work.
A separate report mentions Britney Spears’ former father facing a severe infection in a recent hospitalization update.
