Music producer Bari Alibasov claimed that Alla Pugacheva did not warm to Masha Rasputina. Those remarks ignited a flurry of headlines as soon as they were spoken aloud.
According to Alibasov, Rasputina’s provocative outfits stirred tension among more traditional singers. He recalled that, while some artists offered support, a number of peers viewed Rasputina with misgiving. Even with a deep respect for Alla Pugacheva, discussions about Rasputina often carried a hint of condescension toward the young star, Alibasov explained.
The composer noted a distinct difference in reactions between Rasputina’s male colleagues and her female counterparts. The men seemed less resistant to her appearance, whereas several women in the industry displayed chilly skepticism during their interactions, a tension Alibasov described as lingering in those early conversations.
Rasputina’s personal life has also been a topic of public interest. Her first husband was producer Vladimir Ermakov, and in 1985 she welcomed her daughter Lydia. Later, she married businessman Viktor Zakharov, and the couple remains together, raising their daughter Maria.
