Paura Lucas Escobedo’s company from Alicante makes its return from the front doors of Madrid after a notable nomination at the XXV Max Awards for best music show and after a successful run at Teatro Circo Price last May. This weekend, Channel Theaters closes its programming block for the Circus theater season with a performance scheduled for Saturday and Sunday, bringing a bold fusion of storytelling and live performance to the capital.
Paura is a comedy series that explores horror through a clown’s lens, inviting audiences to feel, laugh, and even find poetry in fear. The show unfolds as a theater concert crafted by a multidisciplinary team led by Raquel Molano, Marta Sitjà, Alfonso Rodríguez, and Lucas Escobedo, who also serves as the play’s director. The creative craft is completed by costume and set design by Pigeon Bravo and lighting by Juanjo Llorens, delivering a cohesive artistic experience that blends humor with dark, imaginative elements.
Looking ahead, Paura’s tour continues this fall with planned appearances in Getxo, Sevilla, Gandia, Dénia, and Laguna de Duero, with additional stops in Ciutadella on August 18, Alcorcón on September 5, and at the Fira de Tàrrega on September 9 and 10.
