Yandex’s press service announced that users of the Masterpiece neural network app will be able to subscribe to each other’s updates. This change opens a new, easily browsable feed where people can see drawings created by the Yandex AI from text prompts, featuring friends and popular authors alike. In addition, users can share a link to their own profile with others, expanding how connections are made within the app.

Profile pages now include likes, subscriptions, and follower counts, reflecting the growing activity around Masterpiece. According to Nikolay Gavrilov, head of Masterpiece, the app has attracted a large audience in a short time. He notes that tens of thousands of likes have come in, and that well-known creators with distinctive threads have emerged. Examples include diligent cats repeating the motif of a famous rock album cover and images of objects diving into a pool. These playful prompts showcase the variety the platform can generate from user ideas.

Masterpiece launched in early April and quickly climbed to the top of the Russian App Store on its debut. It soon achieved the number one spot in Google Play in Russia, underscoring strong user interest. To date, the app has been downloaded more than two million times, indicating broad appeal across mobile devices. This momentum mirrors a growing trend of AI-assisted art being shared widely on mobile platforms.

Earlier reports highlighted interactions between AI tools and prominent figureheads, such as a ChatGPT-generated speech for Nobel laureate Mo Yan. These examples illustrate how AI-generated content is increasingly integrated into high-profile conversations and creative expressions. Credit: Yandex press service.
