With the Fallas festival opening, José María Manzanares has finally named the lineup for the event slated for Sunday, May 11.
The poster will feature Enrique Ponce, Vicente Barrera, Manzanares, Román, and the novillero Simón Andreu. The lineup is balanced in terms of participants and carries the strong appeal of seeing Vicente Barrera return to the arenas in Valencia, this time in a first-rate venue in his homeland. Another highlight is that all toreros and even the painter who designed the poster come from the Valencian Community, which makes for a connected and representative display.
From the outset, Manzanares stated that he would share responsibility for the festival with the company that manages the Monleón arena. For Manzanares, the key point is that recovery will be slow and help must be steady and ongoing, which is why this festival is planned for May, as there will still be much to contribute.
