The 2023 edition of the Magic Nights festival surpassed earlier editions by drawing wider audiences and generating stronger enthusiasm as anticipation builds for the next run. With schedules released well in advance, the new poster signaled a bold chapter and quickly became a talking point among fans. The lineup’s marquee names, including Luz Casal and Goyo Jiménez, captured a large share of ticket sales, making up a substantial majority of turnover. Other established acts such as Raphael, Ara Malikian, Faemino and Cansado, Los Secretos, and Siempre Así contributed to a diverse program that appeals across generations and tastes, as noted by the festival organizers.
National and international music icons are set to converge from July 27 through August 13 at the Jardines de Abril venue in Sant Joan d’Alacant. The venue’s intimate setting promises close-up experiences, allowing audiences to connect with performers in a personal way. For the first time, Magic Nights will unfold over 14 nights, weaving together a broad spectrum of styles—from classic to contemporary—into a single cohesive festival experience that resonates with a broad North American audience, according to event communications.
Attendees will also enjoy live broadcasts and a carefully curated program featuring Rafael, Ara Malikian, Goyo Jiménez, Siempre Así, Ainhoa Arteta, and Celso Albelo, alongside Faemino and Tired, Miguel Campello, and a Garden indierockfesta that blends festival moments with another ongoing event. The schedule includes two days featuring Dorian, Siloé, and Kakkmaddafakka, reinforcing the cross-genre appeal and international presence drawing fans from across North America, as noted in press notes.

Each evening after concerts at Jardines de Abril will feature themed after-parties and DJ sets. The schedule includes an 80s Summer Party on August 4 and 5, highlighting retro vibes alongside contemporary performances. Additional after-parties capture the festival’s energy and the surrounding cultural calendar, such as Guateke’s Party and La Feria Party, which evoke a festive atmosphere reminiscent of traditional fairs while honoring modern music programming. These after-hours events extend the festival’s experience well beyond the last note of the evening and create a dynamic, communal space for fans to mingle with artists and fellow listeners, as reported by Festival communications.
Solidarity Party’s Success
The festival actively supports a range of non-profit organizations based in Alicante, channeling proceeds to local NGOs and charitable initiatives. This year marked the third edition of the Solidarity Night, held on March 25, with a turnout that surpassed previous years. The event raised five thousand euros, about 25 percent more than the prior edition, and fostered a sense of community through a shared cultural moment. Posters and promotional materials highlighted the charitable focus of the festival, underscoring its commitment to social impact alongside entertainment, according to Community partners.
