Only a few hours after Benidorm’s Low Festival 2024 closed its doors, organizers announced the 2025 dates. The event will take place on July 25, 26 and 27, with a celebration of the festival’s 15th anniversary in full swing.
The festival, which took place this weekend at the Guillermo Amor Sports Complex, wrapped up a successful edition in the early hours of Monday. Three days filled with music and no notable incidents followed the momentum. The events councillor, Jesus Carrobles, noted that the lineup, organization and audience expectations were met once again, with about 23,000 attendees per day to watch 70 national and international acts. In total, nearly 70,000 fans enjoyed the three days.
With thirteen editions already held in Benidorm, the Low Festival is a fully established event in the city that every year adds innovations to improve attendee experience and reduce the destination footprint. This year, for example, the installation of solar panels and the elimination of chemical toilets marked a notable quality leap for both users and the environment, Carrobles explained.
Carrobles, who also leads the City Security department, explained that audits conducted by municipal inspectors confirmed that the safety and health plan was followed rigorously. The staff and emergency measures deployed by the organizers, as well as those provided by the Police, National Police and Civil Protection, were in alignment with the plan. In this regard, he recalled that more than 200 personnel contributed to the operation across health and security services.
Medical attention
The Events and Safety chief reported that the festival proceeded without notable incidents. Across the three days, 153 medical attendances were recorded inside the venue among nearly 70,000 attendees, mostly minor issues such as sprains or heat exposure. There were three ambulance transports to hospitals, a figure that fell by 50 percent compared with the previous edition.
Finally, Carrobles clarified that traffic arrangements around the Guillermo Amor area, including the closure of vehicle routes and enhanced transport services, operated smoothly during the festival amid Benidorm’s peak season.
Pool reopens
Meanwhile, teams from street cleaning, sports and health collaborate with the promoter to return Foietes facilities to full sports use as soon as possible. Early water quality analyses indicate good conditions in the municipal pool, suggesting a rapid reopening once construction work permits the disassembly process.
Following the Reggaeton Beach, Low Festival stands as the second of three major city-run festivals this summer and into early autumn, with other concerts scheduled for August. The Iberia Festival is planned for October 11 and 12 at the Julio Iglesias Auditorium as the next major event on the calendar.
