El Reno Renardo and their playful proposal bring the Leyendas del Rock 2024 to a close at the stroke of three in the morning, capping off a festival that concluded after 64 concerts and four intense days.

The day began with Saurom’s acoustic set, guiding the festival to the Plaza Mayor of Villena and previewing the grand show they would stage that night, the largest production the Cádiz-based band had ever mounted in Spain, a prelude to what they will present on March 21, 2025, at the Wizink Center in Madrid.

In the afternoon, the main site hosted the folk metal of the Germans Equilibrium on the main stages, while the New Rock Stage welcomed Spanish folk-rock flavored with the sounds of their homeland, Ars Amandi, celebrating their 20th anniversary. The day also featured innovative acts like Oceans Ate Alaska, Evil Invaders, Eihwar, and Kalmah, plus a veteran like Brian Downey, cofounder of Thin Lizzy, and a tribute to Linkin Park that closed the stage with a string of timeless hits.

Meanwhile, the main stages delivered peak enjoyment with Týr, whose Viking and pagan melodies drew strong anticipation, and Wind Rose, who turned Europe into a single, massive party during their only festival appearance of summer 2024. Their high-energy performance flowed into Stratovarius, a legend in its own right, offering a broad selection of their immortal compositions.

The final blow, in addition to Saurom, came from Rata Blanca and Alestorm. Walter Giardino and Adrián Barilari led the Argentine duo through some of the most exquisite songs ever written in Hispanic rock, while the pirate crew led by Christopher Bowes proved once again that Leyendas feels like home for them, delivering another epic and historic celebration.

Fin de fiesta

To close, El Reno Renardo tore through track after track that has made them a benchmark of humorous rock, and the crowd began to file toward the exits, exhausted after four packed days but content to have enjoyed another edition of Leyendas. The festival will rise again on August 6, 7, 8, and 9, 2025, with its first headliner already announced: Powerwolf, joined by Beast in Black, Feuerschwanz, Fit For A King, Dartagnan, The Cost, Thrown, Charlotte Wessels, and Robse.
