The renewal of Leyendas del Rock is undeniable. The organizers have just announced nine additional acts to join the names already revealed in the previous edition. The eighteenth edition will take place at the Polideportivo Municipal in Villena on August 6–9, a festival aimed at carving a path toward heavier sounds with lineups never before seen on Villena’s stage.

Among the new confirmations stands Peyton Parrish, a performer who has exploded online with anthems like Valhalla Calling. His music blends Nordic folk with rock and metal in a natural, high-energy mix. Now his name has begun to echo among genre fans, earning him the nickname “the king of Viking metal,” and those who have seen him live say he takes the audience on a sonic journey charged with intensity.

Another standout comes from Sweden. The Halo Effect, a supergroup formed in 2019 by five former members of In Flames: founder Jesper Strömblad, the original vocalist Mikael Stanne, and longtime members Niclas Engelin, Peter Iwers and Daniel Svensson, plans to deliver melodic death metal with their second album March of the Unheard. Fans of the Gothenburg sound will hear a blend of nostalgia and modernity in equal measure.

And there is more. A Japanese metalcore staple, Crystal Lake, will ignite the stage, alongside hardcore purists Kublai Khan TX and the epic, battle-ready German heavy metal of Warkings. The new batch closes with Angelmaker, El Altar Del Holocausto, Lacrimas Profundere and Dogma.

These names join the momentum the organization already built during last year’s edition, which was headlined by the German duo Powerwolf. Their presence will be the band’s sole Spanish festival appearance this coming year. Beast in Black, Feuerschwanz, Fit For a King, D’Artagnan, Thrown, Charlotte Wessels, The Cost and Robse are also on the bill, offering a broad spread of heavy and melodic styles for fans to explore.
