The Krasnodar concert by the Shortparis group was canceled following a complaint from a member of the public, according to Kuban News.
The show was scheduled for April 18 at Krop Arena, but representatives told the broadcaster that the Krasnodar concert had been cancelled.
Nikita Izyumov, co-chairman of the Kuban branch of the World Russian People’s Council, appealed to the city mayor to intervene, describing the band as “little-known” and alleging that they opposed Russia and its soldiers from the very start of the special military operation. He also noted that the group’s lead singer, Nikolai Komyagin, had reportedly received an administrative notice over a rally in St. Petersburg and openly praised Zelensky on YouTube.
The Shortparis website states that ticket sales in Krasnodar are “temporarily suspended by the organizer”.
Earlier reports mentioned cancellations in Krasnodar involving concerts by Diana Arbenina and Ani Lorak, with officials cited as the reason for the notices to cancel.
