The Investigative Committee has concluded that there were not enough grounds to initiate criminal proceedings against the artists and the married couple Alla Pugacheva and Maxim Galkin, who are recognized as foreign agents in the Russian Federation, according to reports from TASS.
Information about suspected spread of fakes about the Russian army was forwarded to the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs in Moscow. Law enforcement officials provided details about the situation to their colleagues in the capital.
A representative for law enforcement stated that after reviewing the materials received from the Moscow police regarding Alla Pugacheva intentionally distributing false information on the Internet, there were no grounds for launching a criminal case. The materials were returned to the police for further handling, the ministry noted.
It was not specified which of Pugacheva’s posts were subject to verification.
Additionally, the Investigative Committee examined Maxim Galkin under Part 1 of Article 207.3 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation after the release of a video containing deliberately false information about an alleged bombing of a residential building in Odessa. The inquiry also considered his critical statements about the Russian government and the Russian Armed Forces.
“There were insufficient grounds to initiate a criminal case based on these facts, and the materials were returned to the Main Directorate of the Moscow City Police,” a law enforcement representative added (According to TASS).
On December 25, Maxim Galkin spoke about the duration of his marriage, calling it “12 years of happiness.”
Earlier, Sadalsky raised questions about why Pugacheva travels around the world, adding another layer to the public discussion surrounding the couple.
