Georgy Martirosyan, known for his role in Kadetstvo, has reportedly consulted doctors due to diabetes related complications. The information circulated in media summaries attributed to a Telegram channel and has been picked up by other outlets in the coverage that followed.
Martirosyan was diagnosed with diabetes in 2004. According to the Telegram channel’s updates, the 76-year-old actor consulted medical professionals at the start of September. His demanding schedule and long workdays, however, meant he did not attend some of the examinations that had been scheduled for him. In the most recent medical assessment, the doctors identified high blood pressure and atherosclerosis, a condition that affects the walls of blood vessels.
Medical professionals advised Martirosyan to walk for thirty minutes each day and to cut back on easily digestible carbohydrates in his diet. The actor confirmed the diagnosis but did not voice concerns about complications.
The channel noted that Martirosyan remains actively engaged in his work, including performing in the play Business Class Chamber and preparing for the premiere of Force Major this November.
On the same morning, several media outlets reported that RSFSR People’s Artist Vasily Livanov was connected to a respirator after his heart stopped. These reports were widely circulated but not independently verified at the time courtesy of those outlets.
