Singer Grigory Leps has spoken about money and relationships, noting that money is a constant reality for many people, including potential partners.
The artist said he does not worry about a partner’s financial motives. He emphasized that honesty and decency in women leave a strong impression on him, and he made clear that these qualities should not be confused with financial needs.
“I need money too. Do you think I am honest and decent?” he asked with a light touch, inviting reflection on personal values beyond appearances.
Leps acknowledged that appearance matters when choosing a partner, but it is not the decisive factor. For him, normal, healthy human relationships take priority, built on mutual respect and genuine connection.
In his personal life, Leps divorced his wife Anna Shaplykova in 2021 after two decades of marriage. Shaplykova is the mother of his three children—two daughters, Eva and Nicole, and a son, Ivan. He also has a daughter named Inga Leps from a previous marriage. The artist maintains amicable relations with his ex-wife, underscoring a cooperative approach to family matters.
As of March 2024, Leps shared that he is dating again, describing a relationship with a partner who is substantially younger, and noting that she, like anyone else, sometimes faces loneliness and material needs that come with dating in the public eye.
Earlier in his career, Leps was involved in a legal matter where he filed a suit for 18 thousand rubles over a snack-related dispute, reflecting occasional tensions beyond his work as a performer.
