Four Simultaneous Residences
Las Cigarreras cultural center opened a new call for collaborative living, inviting artists to explore experimental music. The program offers four residences designed for creators working in experimental, electronic, live interactive, reactive, or transmedia audio-visual art who aim to develop work for exhibition or live performance on stage.
Old is a residency program for artists that seeks to broaden curation into more exploratory, tangential, and less mainstream domains. It aims to normalize and increase visibility for artists practicing experimental forms that blend music, sound art, digital art, and technology.
The main objective is to establish spaces for creation and sonic experimentation. From its inaugural edition, the program is organized in collaboration with Land Creative Housing and is part of the Integrated Sustainable Urban Development Strategy (EDUSI) within the Alicante-Las Cigarreras Region. In line with action 8 on regional economic recovery and cultural impulse, the program demonstrates the cross-cutting connections between different action lines designed to foster creation, research, experimentation, production, and the development of creative projects, while supporting artists at every stage of the process.
