In October, the SHOT Telegram channel reported that ChBD participant Alexey Shcherbakov allegedly invested in a business venture belonging to his army comrade Andrei Nenashev. The two, along with partner Evgeny Selivanov, were said to seek investors, place funds in stock markets, and distribute interest payments to investors. A fraud complaint was filed in 2022 against Nenashev and Selivanov.

SHOT estimates that Shcherbakov may have invested around 100 million rubles in the company. Among those affected were numerous civil servants and law enforcement officers who reportedly fell victim to the scheme.

Shcherbakov rejected chatter claiming that his army companion Andrei Nenashev invested millions in a fraud scheme as misleading. He stated that he was unaware his acquaintance was involved in related activities.
