The Alicante College of Architects invites photographers to participate in its tenth edition this year, launching a photography competition focused on public space. Submissions close on March 24.
Under the banner Facing the Public Space, the event is organized by the Alicante College of Architecture and welcomes entrants from all backgrounds. The aim is to showcase indoor or outdoor environments that highlight quality design and reflect how public life in our province unfolds in a way that satisfies communal needs.
The theme should help viewers recognize design excellence that enhances the environment, demonstrates environmental responsibility, follows appropriate regulation, and pays attention to proportion and materiality. It can also capture egalitarian and inclusive aspects—the spaces that enable different social groups to meet and interact.
The goal of exhibiting urban areas and public buildings is to reinforce the idea that the city belongs to everyone and should be designed for everyone.
Entries must be delivered digitally, and each participant may submit up to three photographs.
