The American vocalist Corey Taylor, the frontman of Slipknot and Stone Sour, indicated that he may lose the chance to keep touring with Slipknot in the near future. The musician, who was approaching fifty at the end of 2023, spoke about his concerns in an interview with the German edition of Rock Antenne. The remarks were relayed by NME.
“As long as I’m physically able and there are fans who want to see us, I’ll keep going,” Taylor stated as Slipknot’s leader. At the same time, he acknowledged that he would step back from performing when touring could no longer sustain the high-energy, punk-influenced live experience. He estimated that he had around five more years of active performance ahead.
“I take care of myself, and I train when I can,” the artist noted, while also noting that long trips around Europe can be exhausting. Taylor also described European cuisine as “terrible,” adding a wry aside to his touring life.
Slipknot is currently touring to promote their latest album The End, So Far, released last year. In mid-June, the band also unveiled a companion mini-album titled Adderall.
Earlier material from Blur, including “St. Charles Square,” appears on his newest project, The Ballad of Darren.
