Concerts by Diana Arbenina Hit by Cancellations Across Russian Cities
The scheduled concert by Diana Arbenina, the lead vocalist of Night Snipers, at the Kazan Opera and Ballet Theater was canceled. The confirmation came from the publication Kommersant. The organizers cited technical reasons for the decision and noted that refunds would be issued to ticket holders at their point of purchase. For online purchases, refunds would be processed through the original digital channel. A newsletter update from the event organizers was promised to keep fans informed about any further developments.
The cancellation extended beyond Kazan. A separate show in Ulyanovsk, planned for April 15, was also called off shortly before its date. The concert hall director explained that a major regional event the day before the scheduled performance would have strained the venue’s resources. The organizers cited an inability to ensure proper preparation for two large-scale events in close succession as the primary reason for the decision.
Similarly, plans for Arbenina to perform in Cheboksary on April 14 were scrapped. City officials confirmed that the cancellation notice had been sent to the concert organizers. Fans were advised to follow official channels for refund details and any further information about rescheduled performances.
Previously, the topic drew attention from regulatory authorities when the Attorney General’s Office was asked to review references to Diana Arbenina in connection with a broader article about discrediting the Russian military. The request prompted media coverage about how public figures are portrayed in relation to national issues and the responsibilities of media outlets when reporting on sensitive topics. (Kommersant)
