In a recent interview, Milos Bikovich discussed his experience filming the movie Challenge, which had its Moscow premiere on April 12. He recalled that the most memorable moment while working on the project was the crash scene aboard a damaged aircraft. Bikovich highlighted that this portion required careful study of thoracic surgery concepts and terminology to accurately portray the episode.
“The crash on the plane was my favorite sequence to shoot. It offered a sense of weightlessness and a stark reminder of how fragile flight can be. During production, it was essential to examine thoracic surgery procedures and the terminology involved”, Bikovich explained.
He noted that although filming this scene posed significant challenges, it did not feel frightening. The crew managed to convey the tension and realism without making the process overwhelming for the actors.
Additionally, portions of the film were reportedly shot aboard the International Space Station. Actress Yulia Peresild and project director Klim Shipenko spent time in space for the production. The storyline follows surgeon Zhenya Belyaeva, played by Peresild, as she prepares for a mission and travels to the ISS to assist an astronaut in danger. This behind the scenes effort underscores the movie’s ambition to blend dramatic storytelling with ambitious spaceflight imagery and technical authenticity. (Source: News.ru)
