The channel described him as experiencing weakness, shortness of breath, abdominal discomfort, and a loss of appetite. Medical teams reportedly stabilized his condition and began a course of treatment. It is mentioned that the actor has faced atrial fibrillation, ischemia, and cardiosclerosis for several years. Subsequently, Shcherbakov told socialbites.ca that his health was excellent and that he was at home.

In December 2023, it was claimed that the People’s Artist had undergone a complex operation and rehabilitation and that follow-up tests indicated recovery.
